Instruction manual

1. Before first use, wash the cloth once in the washing machine.
2. When used dry, it is an ideal duster. Slightly damp, it easily removes dust and dirt even without detergent.
For slightly damp use: Spray an area using a spray bottle or pre-impregnator. For 15 cloths, use 500 ml of water. Place half of the microfiber cloths in a bucket. Add 250 ml of water (with detergent). Place the remaining cloths in the bucket and add 250 ml of water again. The cloths are now clammy for optimal use.
3. Fold the cloth in half 3 times.
4. Use all 16 surfaces, one at a time and change timely.
5. We recommend washing the cloths at 60° C with a detergent for colored fabrics such as Greenspeed detergent. Lower washing temperatures help protect the environment.

  • What makes Re-belle recyclable?

A standard microfibre cloth consists of a mix of PET and polyamide. Unlike standard microfibre cloths, the Re-belle microfibre cloth is made of 100% recycled PET plastic. Because Re-belle is made from a mono material, it is optimally recyclable. In addition, Re-belle does not have the recognisable green Greenspeed trim around the cloths, but a white border. And the cloth is available in 4 pastel colours. These choices were made deliberately as the light colours make the dyes less visible and the recyclate can be used more efficiently for a second life.

  • How is the Re-belle recycled?

"After frequent use of Re-belle, the cloths are collected for recycling. The cloths are recycled at Frankenhuis, a Dutch company which specialises in the sustainable processing of textiles. They will reprocess the microfibre cloths into a raw material for a second life, for example for clothing, furniture or a PET bottle.

You can return your cloth to us in these two ways:
    - Option 1: You can request a return from Greenspeed online. You will then receive a shipping label. Wash and dry the cloths. Pack the cloths and stick the shipping label on the packaging. Finally, hand over the parcel to the postal service.
    - Option 2: Greenspeed makes a large collection box available. As soon as the box is full, it will be picked up by the distributor. It is important that the cloths have been washed and are dry."

  • What does Cradle to Cradle mean?

Cradle to Cradle is a quality model on which products are assessed based on their positive contribution to people and the environment. The best known and key design principle of Cradle to Cradle is 'waste equals food', supported by two key philosophies: 'use of renewable energy' and 'celebrate diversity'.
Products are assessed in five categories:
    - Healthy materials: The safety of a product is assessed based on the materials used in the product. A check is carried out on whether any prohibited chemical substances have been used.
    - Recycling: Products are assessed on the reuse of materials, calculated with regard to the recyclability and renewability of the materials.
    - Renewable energy: Encouraging the use of more renewable energy in manufacturing the product and that greenhouse gas emissions are restricted.
    - Sustainable water policy: Companies have to demonstrate that they are using water in a responsible and efficient manner. The objective is to guide companies towards a sustainable water policy resulting in a production process that has a positive impact on water sources.
    - Social fairness: Safeguarding the interests of all parties involved in the business, such as the employees, customers, the community and the environment

  • What does the Nordic Swan Ecolabel stand for?

The Nordic Ecolabel is a certificate awarded to products which meet the strict environmental, quality and health requirements set out in the Nordic Ecolabelling Programme. It guarantees an environmentally-friendly production chain from 'cradle to grave', the highest product quality and product functionality in practice.
    - Products are assessed on the basis of 4 requirements:
    - Environmental requirements: The entire life cycle of the product, from raw materials to waste, is analysed and must be environmentally-friendly.
    - Quality requirements: The functionality of the product is extensively tested. Microfibre products must successfully remove dust and dirt, absorbing up to 85% of the micro-organisms, and are tested for their absorption capacity.
    - General requirements: Even the packaging must result in a low impact on the environment. It is also verified that the correct labels and instructions for use are present.
    - Regulatory requirements: Licence holders of a Nordic Ecolabel must ensure that legislation and regulations with regard to safety, the environment, the working environment, installation, etc. are adhered to.

  • How to impregnate microfiber cloths?

Use 500 ml of water for 15 cloths. Place half of the microfibre cloths in a bucket. Add 250 ml of water (with detergent). Place the remaining cloths in the bucket and add another 250 ml of water. The mops are now damp enough to ensure optimal use.

  • How to fold the microfibre cloth for optimal use?

Fold the cloth in half 3 times (16 squares). Place the cloth in your hand so that the folded side is on the side of the thumb. Clean with the first square surface of the cloth. Once square surface1 is soiled, fold cloth open and fold again so that the second square surface is visible. Use each square surface one by one and change regularly. When all square surfaces have been used on one side, unfold the cloth, turn it over and fold it again 3 times. Use each square surface one by one and change regularly. After you have used all of the square surfaces, put the microfibre cloth in the laundry bag.

  • How to optimise the washing process?

Read the washing instructions found on the label or the technical data sheet. Avoid using washing powder; use a liquid detergent instead. Do not use detergents that contain bleach or optical brighteners. Do not use detergents with a pH higher than 10. It is better to wash microfibre products with other microfibre products only. It is better to wash the mops and the cloths separately. Before washing, rinse the mops and cloths with plenty of water. This removes any residual cleaning agents from the microfibres. Select a washing programme with a limited washing cycle. In order to ensure a long life span, we recommend avoiding mechanical drying as much as possible.
