Every year, Lentis professionals provide care to 25,000 people. Psychiatric care. Because Lentis, founded in 1873, offers mental health services, forensic healthcare and care for the elderly in the three northern provinces of Groningen, Drenthe and Friesland. Hospitality is the focal point of everything Lentis does, says Esther Sijbom, team leader of the Service Operations Department. The decision to implement the entire Greenspeed range was well-considered and quite logical. "At this location we work with the latest materials and products."
With over 4,000 employees spread across a large number of locations in three regions, Lentis is a sizable provider of psychiatric health services. "I have worked for Lentis for 12 years and for the past 10 years, I have been team leader of Service Operations," explains Esther Sijbom. "Service Operations is a support service that we manage in-house. We do everything except the care-related services, e.g.: catering, logistical services, bed linen and cleaning. The cleaning team comprises a varied group of 90 employees. We have all kinds of talents in-house," says Sijbom.
Ease of Use
About choosing the C-Shuttle, Sijbom adds: "In the tender process we considered four candidates. Greenspeed and BOMA won the test and achieved a 100% score. The ease of use in particular was considered the C-Shuttle's main advantage by our cleaners. Furthermore, we often work with open cleaning trolleys, with all the attendant dangers of cleaning products in the psychiatric care environment. We must be able to guarantee the safety of our clients and employees at all times. With the C-Shuttle, we can do just that, thanks to its enclosed system. The C-Shuttle was certainly also the winner when it came to appeal. We at Lentis like to emphasise hospitality and appeal."
Innovative and Environmentally Conscious
For the supply of cleaning materials and products, Lentis started a tender process: "BOMA won and became our supplier. They won the tender with Greenspeed's innovative and environmentally conscious products. On top of that, BOMA provides excellent service. Whenever we need anything, we can always contact Kurt Lambertz, BOMA Account Manager." He was the one who introduced the Greenspeed cradle-to-cradle products. "These appealed to us right away. Everyone is now a fan of these products. Many are genuinely surprised that the ecological cleaning products work so well."
Very Many Cs
The Lentis service team has now chosen to implement the entire Greenspeed range, including the recently launched C-Shuttle. This innovative instrument cart is Comfortable to use, has a Creative and Chic design, is Compact and Clean and is Charming in motion. The C-Shuttle is made of 75% recycled plastic. All of the materials used are of the highest quality and are completely recyclable. The C-Shuttle is an enclosed cart which can be personalised with your own design and arranged for your comfort.
100% Score
About choosing the C-Shuttle, Sijbom adds: "In the tender process we considered four candidates. 'Dive in, all of you,' was the assignment we gave our cleaning team. Greenspeed and BOMA won the test and achieved a 100% score. The ease of use in particular was considered the C-Shuttle's main advantage by our cleaners. Furthermore, we often work with open instrument carts, with all the attendant dangers of cleaning products in the psychiatric care environment. We maintain strict rules when it comes to leaving instrument carts behind. We must ensure the safety of our clients and employees at all times, of course. With the C-Shuttle, we can do just that, thanks to its enclosed system."
The response to the entire line of products is really positive, says Sijbom: "One of the employees proudly remarked: 'With this cart, I feel honoured and professional. The new instrument cart feels like a gadget'."
Hospitality
"The C-Shuttle was certainly the winner when it came to appeal as well. We at Lentis like to emphasise hospitality and appeal, because our work involves so much more than just saying 'good morning'. In October we held an afternoon conference called Hospitality Starts with You with 300 service employees, colleagues and client council representatives. Three years ago, we started improving our catering and overall experience, and now we have included everyone. This also means that we must offer them all we can to allow them to be representative and hospitable. And that is precisely what we are doing. Thanks in part to BOMA and Greenspeed."
