The aim of De Poetsfiets is simple: to clean in a sustainable way. This means zero CO2 emissions and no more getting held up in traffic. They also clean using Greenspeed's eco-friendly products and their employees wear clothes made from organic cotton. Their initiative is fully in line with our way of thinking, so we are delighted to work with them towards a greener future.
Greenspeed supports the foundation Stichting Nelis. Stichting Nelis is an employment project, aimed at the glass-washing and cleaning industry, and was set up for young people who have been unemployed in the short or long-term, and to close the gap as quickly as possible by involving them in the work process again. Stichting Nelis does this by offering shortened learning pathways, by looking for internships and jobs for them, and by intensively coaching participants to prevent failure. By providing cleaning agents and materials for Stichting Nelis, Greenspeed helps makes it possible for unemployed young people to be trained. Ian Smeyers from Stichting Nelis says: "In a fantastic way, Greenspeed gives substance to people, planet and profit. It clearly puts people first, thus proving its sponsorship of the young people from our foundation."
Greenspeed gets behind Natuurhulpcentrum VZW. Natuurhulpcentrum vzw [non-profit organisation "Nature Help Centre"] is the largest and most professional shelter for sick and wounded wild animals in the EU region. Every day, not only do they try to help wild animals, they also try to make people more environmentally aware through education or nature campaigns. Here at Greenspeed, we are also behind this beautiful gesture and care for animals. Our cleaning agents have a minimal impact on humans and animals. In addition, we never test our cleaning agents on animals. Greenspeed supports the shelter with cleaning products because, of course, animals also deserve a clean living environment.
Greenspeed is entering into a partnership with the Dutch design agency MarcelvangalenDesign. The agency has created a microplastics filter for your washing machine. Washing synthetic fibres, such as fleece clothing, releases millions of microplastic particles. The filter can catch up to 90% of microplastics from entering our water during washing. Microplastics are flooding our oceans, where they are ingested by marine animals and end up in our food. Greenspeed is actively helping to build an innovative solution to restore the ecosystem and tackle this global problem.
